According to Collider, “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea”, adapted from the Jules Verne book, will be filmed in stereoscopic 3D in Australia soon and Channing Tatum is supposed to take the Captain Nemo role at the helm of the Nautilus after Brad Pitt declined the offer. David Fincher will direct its first 3D blockbuster.

Disney is supposed to spare 20 Million Australian dollars in tax rebates by shooting on Australia. It is also said the movie will be 70% CGI, 30% live action shots.
