The first 3D independent film from Chicago, I Heart Shakey, a heart-warming must-see comedy for kids and families to enjoy together directed by Kevin Cooper and produced by DeAnna Cooper and Taejung Lee, will debut via video-on-demand on June 15 and will release in selected theaters on June 29. I Heart Shakey soundtrack features an eclectic gathering of musicians from chart topping to Emmy winning: The Plain White T’s with hit song “Rhythm of Love”. Check out the trailer and music videos below.

I Heart Shakey follows the journey of a single father J.T, his nine-year-old daughter, Chandler and their devoted dog, Shakey. After landing his dream job in Chicago, J.T. has to make the hardest decision of his life by moving his family of three to the big city from their small town. Shortly after they settle into their new luxurious home, they realize they have missed the fine print in the rental contract stating “no pets.” Devastated by the possible loss of her beloved pet, Chandler hatches a plan to keep Shakey and teach her dad a valuable lesson about loyalty and the importance of keeping a family together.

The film stars Steve Lemme (Broken Lizard comedian, Super Troopers, Beerfest), Steve Guttenberg (Police Academy franchise, 3 Men and a Baby), Beverly D’Angelo (National Lampoon’s Vacation movies), Alfonso Arau (Three Amigos), 12-year-old acting phenomenon Rylie Behr, and a rescue dog named Ebony.
